                 About Seattle Transgender Help Network

We are committed to serving the Transgender Community

Seattle Transgender Help Network has designed and maintains this website for the Transgender Community of Seattle. Seattle Transgender is operated by The STHN Group.

Starting with our web assistant, her job consists of Articles, Editorials Commentary, Tip Talk, Announcements for the week, and Calendar of events. She is our do it all girl. She also lobby’s for equality.

Our coordinators, maintains our e-mail desk. They answers on an average of 200 emails daily. As you can imagine this can become an overwhelming amount. We always try and answer every email within (24) hours. At times there are just to many to personally respond to them all. Everyone will get a automated letter an acknowledgment. Then categorized by services needed. Then a second team will answer that overflow. This definitely keeps everyone busy. We are always looking for more volunteer help.

Hello, my job here is web designer. I add new pages as necessary, and maintain the present ones. As much as we do try and keep up with current events and resources around our community, We can only devote a few hours a day during the week to the website. I also lobby for equality in Olympia at The State Capitol before the Legislators on behalf of Seattle Transgender Help Network and all the LGBT community for equal rights.

We monitor a (24) hour Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Hotline. We drive the streets of Seattle on the weekends, and look for those that need help. We contact the proper authorities in aiding assistance to someone. Or simply take them out for something to eat, and a good conversation. Our job is not hard, it’s just being in the right place to help make a difference. It is very gratifying to go home and feel good about what you have done for that day.

Our overall Staff provides the assistance to building relationships with providers. They focus on bring supporter, providers, and clients together. As our Essential Health Care program has grown, so fast, and so has the need to coordinate our efforts as a team. Twelve staff coordinators are broken down to three teams. Each team plays a very important roll in bringing all the resources to the needs of our clients. Research, Development, and Campaign to make change, a reality, to as many lives as possible.

From our founder, to our receptionist, we all are committed to serving the community of Seattle. We strive to better the lives in the great northwest. In our pursuit for equality, we receive many emails from across the country. Our goal is to assist everyone, some how some way. Most just want to hear a friendly voice, they can tell has a deep sense of understanding them and what they are going through.

To give our client the knowledge they needed to push forward one more day. Knowing there is Seattle Transgender to turn to. We receive phone calls everyday from people we have met through our website. So many just want to say thank you for being there for them. It is our chose to be here, each and everyone of us cares about you, and how you are doing, what can we do to better their lives. Others have given up, they feel like there is no one to help answer their questions. Until Seattle transgender first came online, with an interactive website.

We really want to bring the understanding no body is alone. That is way it is so important to us to build relationships from all corners of our country. So many people contact us, who know with out a doubt they indeed know the person inside wants out, and they don’t know how to achieve being there true selves, and live in a small town. Those have to be the hardest to help, because the more isolated someone is the lower the chances of finding doctors, and therapist that are trained in those respected fields.

If you don't see what your looking for. Please send us an e-mail, from our contact us page, and we'll do our best to add your questions and answers to the website in a timely manner. Yes, we too belong to the LGBT community. We all work here as volunteers. We maintain a single server, located in Seattle,

We want to thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about each one of us. The mission we set our goals on is to provide help in building a better transgender community. Our core values are set to bring equality to every American. A special thanks for all the resources available in the greater Seattle area for the transgender community. To our Supporters who believe in our work, and have the desire to build a safe and healthy Seattle for many years to come. Every person that has made a difference in the lives of other. They can trust 100% of every dollar they give will go to helping the community. The Microsoft Corporation, Bill & Melinda Gates, The Gates Foundation, The Pacific Northwest Foundation, for all they do to better the lives around the world. Through health, education, research, and development.

Over the course of time we have found, that most all Americans would help their neighbor out in a heartbeat. But when it come to being taxed, hands down it is to mush. They already see one quarter of their income being taken right out of their paychecks. When it come to providing comfort to a family that has lost a son or daughter, they will extend a hand every time. When someone needs food, we have seen thousands of people helping. It’s this concept we have built out structure on. Now the real work is to show a proven method, will work on a larger scale.

I was born and raised in America, and believed we were the most richest, and powerful country in the world. Until the horrible day Katrina struck Louisiana. I was embarrassed when our country did nothing. It was privet citizen that first reached out to help their neighbors.

We hope that we have provided a place with all the available information. If we can help even one person to hold on to their dreams, and pursue happiness, we have done our job.

This is a changing process as each day passes. We believe, together as a LGBT community, we can build a stronger relationship not only with the Seattle community, but across the entire nation.

Thank you, on behalf of the staff, at Seattle Transgender Help Network.
