About Seattle Transgender Seattle Transgender was designed to provide information to the Transgender community. At the time our founder began her research in 2004-2005 it was her intention to help someone in transition or just coming out, and how to brake the ice to those that mattered the most in their lives.
Five years later, Seattle Transgender is still focused on its mission to build a website to answer your question, provide resources, and real life tests on the business we all depend on everyday.
It is our desire to find the businesses, streets, and places we fell most comfortable. A place we can all call our own, a safe place to be, the since of home within your community.
Although Seattle Transgender has gone through some growing pains, as we have renamed Seattle Transgender to The STHN Group which stands for Seattle Transgender Help Network, dba (doing business as) Seattle Transgender.
It’s unfortunate the reason for changing the name was to improve the ability to campaign for donations. It is sad that even in the new millennium we still strive for recognition, and none decimation. We will continue to brake down those barriers, and stand proudly within the community.
Our founder of Seattle Transgender, Christine Kennedy still remains on the board of directors heading The STHN Group in to the future; we thank her for the detication in building Seattle Transgender, and the compassion for others that has become our very foundation of The STHN Group.
The organization is now operated by our new management team headed by Tammy Stewart our executive director. Our Board of Directors of eight individuals from the neighboring Seattle business community are set to overseeing all business activity and operations, meeting once a month.
Thank you for your time and interest in Seattle Transgender.
Sincerely,
Tammy Stewart
